Business Unit Overview
Fidelity Pricing & Cash Management Services (FPCMS) provides accounting and investment management support services for Fidelity mutual funds and other retail and institutional investment products. These services include calculating and distributing NAVs, distribution rates and yields for a wide variety of investment products; preparing fund financial statements, dividend estimates and tax returns; monitoring delivery of fund trades to custodian banks; processing corporate actions; collecting securities income on behalf of the funds; reconciling, reporting and moving money in support of fund shareholder transactions; and managing fund liquidity.
This position is for an application support team in FPCMS. We have a 8 member team providing the support on all the FPCMS applications in 12 X 7 Follow-The-Sun model. Along with the application support, this team is involved in many production related activities like Disaster Recovery, Fail-Over testing, Holiday processing etc. This team is working on a number of support tools development initiatives. We are looking for an associate with strong JAVA, J2EE, UNIX shell scripting and database skills. Associates who have prior experience working on production support teams will be preferred.
Selected candidate is expected to learn and understand the support processes of FPCMS and provide the support on many FPCMS applications on rotation. Candidate is expected to demonstrate high level of motivation, adaptability, quick learning, and technical aptitude, problem solving skills, analytical skills, and teamwork to achieve goals.
As part of the support, the candidate is having an excellent opportunity to learn the Core Mutual Fund domain in the FPCMS BU.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Understand the application domain, functionalities and the support processes.
- Should be able to independently handle the support request to integrate with our DevOps implementation.
- Should be able to collaborate with application team.
- Build and maintain tools for Deployment, integrate and operations.
Experience of working with code repositories or SCM tools.
Experiences of continuous integration build systems (e.g. Cruisecontrol, Jenkins, Hudson,
Experience of using tools to integrate best practices like static code analysis, automated unit
tests and integration tests, code coverage analyzers, creation of sand‐box systems, etc.
‐ Ability to automate and speed up build and release process.
