The FMR India’s shared services organization provides enterprise-wide leadership to support Fidelity’s delivery agenda. This group will take accountability for a broad range of functions at the company level that are applicable across our organization. These functions include Finance, Corporate Accounting, Corporate Audit, Risk & Compliance, Facilities, Legal, BCP, Corporate Communication, Corporate Security and Human Resources.

 

Role Description

 

This position provides or oversees the design, specification, procurement, installation, and commissioning of all components of an integrated security access control, alarm and video solutions for domestic and international projects.

  • Responsible for managing and coordinating system administration activities (e.g. Security patching and upgrades, oversight of other Fidelity group’s support personnel, security device programming, daily system and application work requests) for assigned Linux and Windows operating system platforms.  This person will also perform administrative and technical support activities for A rated/critical applications.  The individual who fills this role will also be required to build and maintain relationships with Project Managers, internal and external customers, Fidelity departments, vendors, contractors and support sites across Asia.

  • Manage Fidelity’s regional relationship with vendors ensuring they are appropriately trained and staffed, provide quality services such as installation, preventative maintenance, security design, and projects are completed within budgets, schedules while meeting client and corporate critical security infrastructure needs, business objectives and design guidelines and commissioning.

  • Provide leadership for technical support for large scale, complex projects including assistance and problem solving to other teams (in-house and vendor) members, bring any critical security issues to the attention of management and serve on task forces, process improvement initiatives as assigned. 

  • Works closely with the Fidelity Service Center (FSC) for monitoring of the Physical Security infrastructure.  This infrastructure is made up of AIX, Windows 2000 & 2003 application servers, Windows XP client stations, Digital Video (DVR) servers and numerous network appliance devices (field controllers, digital video cameras, IP based readers, etc.).   Any problems identified need to be addressed immediately with pinpoint accuracy.   The incumbent will need to be able to act on data received from the FSC, escalate to the appropriate levels of Management and take necessary corrective actions to prevent failures of any node in the system.

  • Review the alarm activity of security systems, prepare reports of results relating to preventative maintenance, commissioning and post installation inspections, plan an alarm abatement strategy and conduct or coordinates day-to-day troubleshooting support for Corporate Security supported applications. Communicate results to required business groups.  

  • Conducts or coordinates all system administration activities (e.g. upgrades, software patching, system maintenance, etc.) for Corporate Security supported Windows server and client platforms and travels between regional sites on a scheduled basis while providing twenty four (24) hour on call responsibility for technical support and repair for site problems.

  • Responsible for creating and updating technical support documents for current and future supported applications and systems, working with the System Design and Implementation group on new projects and be able to hit deadlines set for project deliverables and after-hours on-call response to all system outage events or emergency support issues (e.g. access removal).

 

Candidate Description

 

  • Experience in use / deployment of physical security applications. High level technical knowledge of enterprise scale physical access control systems, analog and digital CCTV systems, environmental monitoring systems, and biometric, smart card and sensor applications.

  • Technical knowledge of access control, CCTV, intrusion alarm, Audio/radio communication and other related systems.

  • Expertise in design, maintenance, and troubleshooting an enterprise-wide security environment.

  • A solid understanding of network topology and communication fundamentals is required. 

  • Strong technical documentation skills.

  • Familiarity with Windows environments.

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD is preferred.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent recommended.  Advanced degrees or Certificates are a plus.

  • 4-6 years’ experience, preferably in a managerial or responsible charge role within a corporate organization or public agency.
