Senior Analyst - Campaign Management

Business Unit Overview
Established in 2006 in India, the Business Analytics and Research (BA&R) team is focused on providing customized knowledge services to Fidelity businesses. The team offers a wide spectrum of research and analytics capabilities, with projects spanning a range of business issues and functions.
The main capabilities of this team are as follows: Investment Research & Analysis, Primary Research, Secondary Research, Campaign Execution and Effectiveness, Reporting and MIS, Predictive Modeling, Strategic Analysis and Digital Analytics. This position is part of the Campaigns team.
Role Description
  • Gather and understand internal client data requirements and translate into technical data query implementation
  • Design, develop and execute data queries and successfully deliver quality participants mail list on time to communication consultants
  • Manage extensive quality assurance processes prior to providing report/data to clients
  • Support Unica Campaign data query in production; monitor existing data query related campaigns, troubleshoot campaign and technical issues, make modifications to existing data query related campaigns and ensure data query related campaigns are being executed correctly
  • Define standard data reports, execute standard data reports and make standard data reports available to internal business partners, and create new ad hoc reports using available tools (e.g. SQL, Unica and SAS).
  • Identify new data sources; create linkages from backend databases to reporting tools
  • Review and analyze effectiveness list pull execution process and propose improvements
  • Analyze key performance metrics and recommend ways to optimize metric integrity, and identify other effective metrics for management review.
  • Analyze customer data and develop insights to improve list pull development and performance.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Build ad-hoc queries per client requests and execute
  • Design, develop standard queries for repeat requests
  • Perform data mining and data analysis to support internal clients business processes
  • Execute Unica campaign data query campaign and distribute list pulls to internal clients
  • Monitor work request queue and proactively communicate with internal users with regards to requirements, delivery timeline and process
  • Create and distribute management reports on queue status
  • Perform quality assurance on all deliverables prior to delivery
  • Perform peer reviews on query results
  • Maintain quality check list for peer review
  • Document best practices and key learning to improve list pull process
  • Document and store requirements, query specification, quality checklist and results provided to clients
  • Contribute to process improvements and scalable process/procedure development
  • Work closely with MEC team and internal clients
Candidate Description
  • Strong SQL skills (preferably Oracle) including understanding of:
    • In line table queries
    • Nested/Correlated queries
    • Outer / Inner joins
    • DB connections
    • Advanced SQL functions
  • Strong Microsoft skills
    • Excel pivot tables and formula writing
    • Access standard and design view query writing
    • VB Script skill will be a plus
  • SAS programming experience preferred
  • Experience in data extraction using PL/SQL
  • Experience with commercial marketing software packages; Unica’s Campaign preferred
  • Experience performing data mining
  • Experience documenting technical project details
  • Knowledge of relational database, software development life cycle and testing concepts required
  • Quality assurance/control experience
