Business Analyst / Sr Business Analyst

Business Unit Overview


The WI Risk team is responsible for ensuring strong organizational performance from a risk perspective. In support of this, the team serves as the single point of contact for all risk-related matters, developing and monitoring Key Risk Indicators (KRI), managing internal and external audit activities, and providing oversight over the management of operational incidents.


Role Description


  • This role will require the Analyst to manage various risk incidents raised by the business processes.

  • Analyst would need to perform the root cause analysis for each incident and come up with risk mitigation steps and risk monitoring activities.

  • The Analyst Is responsible for developing, recommending and implementing Risk programs for business units.

  • The Analyst will need to analyse historical risk data to identify opportunities to strengthen the risk mitigation plan for the business. Candidate will have to build strong analytical ability to provide risk insights from the data and develop new reports for the business leaders and risk management team.

  • Analyst also expected to conduct risk assessments & control testing based on business needs.


Roles & Responsibilities


  • Responsible for managing risk incidents till closure and risk monitoring on regular basis

  • Conduct risk assessment for business processes and projects

  • Stakeholder management: Understand partners’ expectations and effectively engage with them to handle communication, alignment, reporting and escalations

  • Collaborate with various business units like Operations, Client Service Teams, Corporate Risk & Compliance Teams, Legal Teams etc

  • Develop & Deliver Scorecards / Dashboards / Storyboards: Effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand business needs, apply effective data visualization techniques. Would include creation of scorecards grounds-up

  • Innovation – Continuous improvement of existing processes and identifying opportunities for automation

  • Execute initiatives which could be group-specific, vertical or BU specific

  • Willingness to work in different shifts, including US coverage

  • Excellent MS Office skills

  • MS Excel – should be able to write a macro, use advanced functions and features to create data models, be able to create and manage Pivot tables, charts and graphs etc

  • MS Access – should be able to create/manage database and forms

  • MS PowerPoint – excellent skills in making and managing PowerPoint documents. Be able to use advanced functions including ability to embed objects

  • Database skills – be proficient with SQL or Oracle, understand relational databases (not necessarily design).

  • Proficient in using BI tools, preferably Tableau, SSRS

  • Proficient in using windows SharePoint
