Job Title – Software Engineer

The Purpose of This Role

The Personal Investment business unit in Fidelity is modernizing its Marketing Technology Platform to deliver Fidelity’s promise of creating the best customer experiences in financial services. As a member of the Marketing Technology group, you will be responsible for design and development of highly available, scalable Platform & solutions. As part of that, we need an experienced hands-on technical expert, and you will be part of a dynamic team with an opportunity to partner closely with the business and technology teams across the shores and will be a key enabler in creation/adoption of the technology

The Value You Deliver

  • You will be responsible for designing, developing, and coordinating with other technical teams and analysts.

  • You will be working with Architects and Tech Leads across the business unit in a fast-paced agile environment.

  • You will be responsible for supporting product release activities (Develop, QA, deployment); participate in product installation & post install support.

  • You will need to constantly update professional knowledge by researching new technologies and software products, participating in educational/training opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining professional networks.

The Skills that are Key to this role

  • Be Collaborative: Work in partnership with the users, Architecture and Engineering teams to design, build and deliver end-to-end solutions

  • Troubleshoot problems, perform dev unit testing/quality assurance, and support user acceptance testing to ensure successful project implementations.  Provide the appropriate level of documentation and transition information for project efforts for application support and knowledge sharing as desired by methodology.

  • Has ability to provide technical expertise at meetings to interpret/understand requirements.

  • Understand and follow approved project methodology for delivery of project efforts.  This includes appropriate levels of communication, documentation, and development process adherence.

  • Performs and extends to development in the following technologies Java, AWS, Nodejs, and knowledge on working with relational databases

Technical / Behavioral

  • Hands-on experience in design and development in the following technologies Java, spring, springboot, AWS, Nodejs, REST api

  • Develop and deploy applications on cloud, serverless framework

  • Knowledge on Kafka, Casandra, Microservices and CICD process would be a plus

  • Knowledge on event driven architecture

  • Appetite to learn new technology and contribute to squad needs.
