Job Title:  Network Engineer

The Purpose of This Role

This role requires hands-on experience in Enterprise & Datacenter Network Technologies for providing operation support across Bangalore & Chennai, end-to-end ITSM process (Incident, Change, Problem, Release etc), Technology life cycle management of network Infrastructure (Hardware & Software) and project implementations.

The Value You Deliver

Reporting to Team Leader (Director) and would be responsible for Network Operations & Projects for LAN, WLAN, WAN & VoIP. Manage Heterogeneous Network Infrastructure comprise of Cisco & HP Switches, Aruba Wireless & Avaya PBX for Voice. Person requires having excellent communication skills with analytical and problem-solving skills as it’s a hands-on technical role.

The Skills that are Key to this role

Technical / Behavioral

  • You need to have good hands-on experience in managing heterogeneous networks and implementation of network solutions in green / brown environments. Must have moderate to in-depth knowledge of Enterprise / Datacenter Routing-Switching, Wireless Technologies (Wi-Fi 6) and Network Protocols such as BGP, OSPF, HSRP, STP, WPA2/3, SNMP and good understanding of SD-WAN, DMVPN, VXLAN etc.

  • Good Exposure to Automation / Scripting (Python, Shell, Ansible, Jenkin, PowerShell etc.) & a fair knowledge of Voice Technologies (VOIP, SIP, PBX etc.) will be an added advantage.

  • A team player with structured approach toward problem solving, effective management & task prioritization.

  • Clear understanding of Agile Framework & ITIL processes – Change, Problem, Incident and Release management practices.

  • Effective communicator, team player with good documentation & presentation skills

How Your Work Impacts the Organization

FITG (FMR India Technology Group) is responsible for managing IT projects including technology rollouts, new office fit outs and partnering with global IT teams to meet IT requirements of Fidelity India business units. The functions in FITG include end user computing, network services, hosting services, service delivery, IT risk management, and IT asset management.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

  • 4 years in IT Network Technology

  • Graduate in Computers or Electronics

  • Technical certification: CCNA, CCNP Enterprise/Datacenter            (Minimum: ENCOR / DCCOR Exam)

  • Process Certification: ITIL, ISO 20K

Shift timings:     8:00am – 5:00pm or 9:30am – 6:30pm or 11:00am – 8:00pm or 1:00pm – 10:00pm. 24×7 on-call support on rotation.
