The Purpose of This Role

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to support the Compliance System Production and Non-production environments. This position requires being detail oriented, creative, upbeat, self-motivated problem solver with the ability to analyze and apply broad range of technologies. The candidate must have good communication skills and experience interacting with geographically diversified team.

The Team

Mainly passionate about supporting the Compliance applications and CDE batch cycles and this individual will provide level 2 application and database oversight, which encompasses: business impact assessment via customer interaction, batch support, initial triaging, analysis of issue, possible remediation through data manipulation or application tools, coordination of software fixes with the development teams in Non-production through Production. This is a fast paced, highly motivated, coordinated work environment and an outstanding opportunity to work with a core Fidelity Asset Management business

The Value You Deliver

  • Responsible for supervising and supporting Trading, Portfolio and Research applications and batch cycles for Compliance and CDE business
  • Drive incident management and resolution, identifying root cause and coordination of fixes
  • Assess the business impact of outages and ensures accurate notification on critical issues
  • Identify potential process improvements, and opportunities to streamline procedures
  • Point of escalation for outages, ensure timely cascade to Level 3 support as required to minimize the business impact
  • Ensure process is followed for the safe execution of production data management activities
  • Application deployments and validations
  • Minor improvement and bug fixes
  • Participate in on-call rotations

The Skills that are Key to this role

Technical/Process

  • SQL & PL/SQL – Expertise in writing and debugging/Trouble shooting skills on SQL and PL-SQL code, Stored Procedures, Functions & Triggers
  • Informatica or any similar ETL tool – Expertise in debugging/Trouble shooting Session/Work Flow logs, understands Mapping flows
  • Hands-on experience with Autosys/Control-M is a must
  • Unix/Linux – Write Shell/PERL scripting and programming experience and basic commands
  • Experience in Support /developing applications in Cloud & EKS, AWS/Azure certified (good to have)
  • Hands-on experience with Splunk/Sitescope/Datadog
  • Ability to handle incident bridge calls and crisis situations to mitigate incident impact.
  • Experience in incident management and problem management.
  • Ability to understand the business criticality of various applications as they relate to complex business processes.
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and/or Agile Project Management
  • Good Analytical, Reporting and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Apache Tomcat & Core Java – Experience in supporting Java based applications (good to have)
  • Working knowledge of basic investment terms and practices is desirable.

Production Services (EI-PS) is a centralized support services organization in the Enterprise Infrastructure group of Fidelity. This organization was formed in March 2017 when support groups from various Fidelity business units were merged together to form a centralized support organization. EI-PS supports 2000+ applications across all Fidelity business units. Services provided by the EI-PS organization include incident management, deployment management, environment management, Web (Middleware) & Database Services, Mainframe operations, Release Services & Performance Engineering services.
