Job Title – Lead QA Engineer

The Purpose of This Role

Ensure high quality of application delivery. Develop test strategies and product testing. Review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics. Ensure successful deployment of software products. As a T Shaped professional, play the Software Engineer role supporting the business to ensure projects are implemented with the highest quality of product by bringing all required business requirements clarity to the scrum team. This role will fulfil the development teams and the Automation testing need for detail understanding of the projects and their problems, as well as the significant focus on production stability.

  • Be an advocate and champion for quality engineering.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with business and technology partners and collaborate on objectives.
  • Identify automation methodologies and ensure they are implemented from the beginning of each story.
  • Analyse stories and acceptance criteria to understand issues before testing begins.
  • Ensure the highest product quality and user satisfaction.
  • Leverage existing testing solutions to solve new problems.
  • Define, analyse, and perform tests for products or systems.
  • Analyse stories and develop test cases and review with stakeholders.
  • Triage defects and consult with stakeholders for next steps and resolution.
  • Provide recommendations for product design changes.
  • Support with the implementation of quality control standards.
  • Integrate automated test cases with the pipeline in accordance with Development (Dev) Ops standards.
  • Create, maintain, and analyse test data.
  • Strong analytical, programming skills
  • Design and development skills in Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, Web Services (REST/SOAP), AWS
  • Exposure to UI Technologies like Angular
  • Should be strong in Design and Analysis.
  • Having experience in Development projects
  • Should be able to play the individual contributor role and take up ownership of assigned tasks end to end.
  • Prior experience in any modernization programs is a big plus.

  • Stash Repo, Jenkins, Udeploy, Sonar, Veracode, Datadog, Sprint cloud config.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of IT experience broadly covering QA, Automation testing and Development.
  • Graduate
  • Certifications, if any

Skills/Knowledge and experience:

  • API & UI automation using Selenium / Protractor / Karate / Selenium WebDriver / Selenium Grid / TestNG / Rest Assured / Playwright frameworks.
  • Unit Testing using Junit, Mockito, Karma / Jasmine
  • Exposure to Performance testing, MOX Scripting, Penetration testing etc
  • Languages: Rest API developed in Java Spring Boot framework (mandatory)
  • Databases: Good understanding and experience on RDBMS (Oracle, DB2). Experience in SQL is an added advantage.
  • Core Spring 3.0, Spring Boot      
  • Cloud Platform: Hands-on experience in developing Cloud Native applications.
  • Working experience on AWS API Gateway, Lambda and IAM Roles, Route53 ALB                                                  
  • Operating Systems: Unix/Linux and shell scripting (optional)
  • Methodology: Agile
  • Prior experience on large scale IT Transformational Projects (Migration, Modernization) is a plus.
