Job Description:
Job Title – Director, Architecture – Infrastructure and Environment Enablement
As an Architect focused on providing the best possible environment for easier development, deployment, and simplified experience for associate community. You will be responsible for Establishing Architecture assets, infrastructure templates, and a standardized foundation for lower environments working with development, testing and governance teams. You will also focus on strengthening the Devops practices and help with speed to market for software deliveries.
The Purpose of This Role
- The individual is responsible for evaluation of the current environments, understand the gaps, identify industry practices to create a standardized foundation for Infrastructure and environments that makes it easy for end-to-end life software development cycle.
- You will be accountable to come up with the strategy for the lower-level environments and infrastructure with focus on cost and experience working with Architecture community, Quality Engineering and Development community.
- You will be responsible to work with Development leads, QA Leads, Database folks and others to execute on the needs of creating a reliable non-production environment for developers and business users to feel confident.
- The individual should have Devops and continues improvement mindset to deliver in this fast-paced Agile environment and cater to the needs and demands of developer and testing community with the right infrastructure and environment.
- The Individual will work in his capacity as an Individual contributor to help advance our existing infrastructure and lower environments to fill the gaps and meet the needs of community and continuously improve based on industry standards and learnings.
- Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels and educate, prioritize on the importance of infrastructure and environments needs for software quality and improved and faster development.
- The individual should have extensive experience in the field of IT infrastructure management, Devops practices, End to End delivery standards and frameworks needed for quality deliver and better developer experience.

As a Director, Architecture – Infrastructure and Environment Enablement, you will be responsible for
- Bringing increased awareness, utilization of available tools and techniques to help bridge the gap that exists in different environments that are needed for development and testing of software.
- Help improve the quality of software through better testing across all levels including business acceptance to build resilient software and harden our platforms.
- Help reduce the costs associated with workarounds for the lack of environments, extra spend on infrastructure and bring efficiencies and automation to lower the costs.
- Our firm spends lot of money on Automation, Bug fixing, TLM, Reducing Tech debt and increased focus on reuse, you as an Architect in this space will evaluate the areas that can be improved, automated to bring higher quality software, and reduce maintenance costs.
- Utilize knowledge of relevant industry trends and ideas in technology and financial services to improve our current setup, change the standards, frameworks etc., needed to help deliver quality products.
- As we modernize our platforms, you’re able to provide all the guidance needed to build a robust environment and reduce infrastructure spend from the beginning.
- Participate in the technology planning and budgeting process, supporting analytics and reporting efforts to increase cost transparency and communicate the value of infrastructure and environment investments and improvements.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to navigate across the firm dealing with different levels of stakeholders, able to engage with partners and build intentional connect and network for purpose of education, awareness, and implementation of our goals.
- Proven track record of strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
The Skills that are Key to this role
- Overall current IT landscape knowledge in the field of Data, API, AI/ML, etc.,
- Understanding of complete software life cycle and the key tasks each step of the way.
Working Knowledge, Hands-on experience in CICD and Devops
- Hands on experience in creating/catering to the needs of a developer and tester across production and non-production environments.
- Hands on experience with tools like replication, PII data, database sharding, Tokenization, DB Virtualization etc.,
- Dockers, Containers, Kubernetes etc.,
- Exposure to Cloud providers and services provided by the major cloud providers like Azure and AWS.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and agile practices like SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, XP etc., is a definite plus.
- Stakeholder management skills which include strong communication, relationship management, conflict resolution, strategic thinking, problem-solving, negotiation, risk management etc., is a must for this role.
- Experience in enterprise architecture in the field of finance or working for financial/investments firms is a plus. If you have worked in any other field like Health where you have worked closely with Regulatory, Audit or other legal branches exposure is a plus.

- Strong presentation development and delivery skills
- Ability to work closely with multiple different Architecture groups like Enterprise Architecture, Solutions Architecture, Application Architecture etc., to bring common solutions with focus on reuse.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or any other discipline
- Certification in any of the IT frameworks, or IT governance frameworks is a plus
