Job Title: Senior Analyst – Outbound Processing

The Purpose of This Role

Senior Analyst – Outbound Processing is a SME level job role in H&W Outbound. The Analysts are in-charge of the outbound delivery & issue research; while as an individual, responsible for processing and providing participant’s data received through outbound files to stakeholders i.e., Participant, Carriers, Clients, and Vendors. They work for a group of jumbo clients and their files. Their files consist of data with greater level of complexity such as Enrollment Elections, Coverage Information, and huge participant Data i.e., personal info, employment details, premiums, and payroll deductions with higher degree of variances. The analyst is accountable for the accuracy & quality of outbound files, meeting SLAs and playing a consulting role for Outbound Processing. They are also in-charge of interpreting, analyzing, and testing for outbound related projects, system fixes and upgrade projects. This includes working with an internal business partners to elicit and explain outbound requirements while acting as the OUTBOUND PROCESSING SME and collaborating with stakeholders to conduct issue research, risk assessment & SOC1 impact. This may include, but not necessarily limited to, explanation of root cause, impact analysis, clarification of business requirements & plan rules, and confirmation of issue remediations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • The analyst will be servicing and supporting HCO clients/vendors by analyzing, reconciling data files, fixing trends. He/she will be using customized technical tools, procedures in identifying errors and rely on their decision to work on data when rectifications are required.

  • The analyst will be warranting the H&W interface files are completed on time and accurate as per plan rules & established procedures based on data from recordkeeping systems by following file processing workflow and correcting files as mentioned in requirements.

  • The analyst will be adhering to and be accountable for maintaining utilization, productivity, quality, and control standards for him/herself and for team.

  • The analyst will have extensive interaction with multiple upstream and downstream partners for requirements clarification and issue resolution. 

  • The analyst will be proactively working with the management to help monitor progress & health of the process, addressing issues and recommending course corrections as and when needed.  

  • The analyst will be conducting training, daily signoffs, SOC1 adherence, inventory & escalation management & reporting etc.

  • The analyst will be driving process improvements or scale & efficiency projects and executing activities related to fixing client-specific issues, fulfilling internal and external data rectification requests, and performing peer reviews and supervising activities.

The Skills and Expertise we are looking for

1. Technical

  • Adequate computing skills including excellent command over MS Office Suite; experience in working on ERP is preferred.

  • Knowledge of query building, data analysis & mining in MS Excel, MS ACCESS with understanding of core product mechanics, record keeping systems, and regulatory environment; knowledge of VBA, or SQL will be an advantage.

  • Proactive problem solving, issue resolution, research, analysis, reasoning, analytical abilities & presentation skills.

  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and criticality of operations & project work; insights into risk & regulatory controls such as SOC1, TA, Access Provisioning are preferred.

  • Project management experience, working knowledge on Agile methodologies, Jira, PPMC, and design thinking abilities preferred.

  • Expertise in systematic and procedural documentation, email & general writing skills and experience in referring, representing, and visualizing data.

2. Behavioral

How Your Work Impacts the Organization

The Healthcare Operations (HCO) record keeps and administers health and insurance benefits for various US corporate Clients. The employees of these client’s aka participants of the H&W group who are eligible to enroll in H&W benefits such as Health Care, Medical Care, Dental Care, Vision Care, Prescription Drugs, Life Insurance, Employee Assistance Programs, Short term Disability, Long Term Disability, Accidental Death and Dismemberments, and Flexible Spending Accounts etc. HealthCare Operations Unit is responsible for configuring, maintaining, enhancing, servicing and providing ongoing support to participants data i.e. Enrollment (Benefit Elections, Insurance Coverage, Cost, Premiums and Payroll Deductions etc.) and any changes to participant demographic data (employment details, personal information, covered/eligible dependents, addresses etc.) for client and to send outbound files through OUTBOUND PROCESSING team to different stakeholders i.e. Participants, Carriers, Clients and Vendors by supplying required data to reconcile their systems/records at their ends. Outbound Processing team is the final checker and gatekeeper of an outbound data goes out of Fidelity’s doors. The clients and their vendors use this data transmitted by Fidelity to service their customers.

Shift timings: 1 PM to 10 PM IST.
