The Purpose of This Role

Fidelity Real Estate is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager with expertise in designing, executing, and testing sophisticated electrical, mechanical and ELV systems.
Reporting directly to Fidelity Real Estate Vice President of Engineering in the USA, you will be working with team of versatile engineers that support site engineering operations teams in achieving high uptime, safety, and energy conservation in a 11 million sq. ft. global portfolio of offices and data centers, spanning across the US, Ireland and India.
The ideal candidate must have strong background in supervising engineering service delivery for India and Hong Kong through outsourced FM Service Providers. Prime responsibilities include leading engineering design/commissioning, developing, and enforcing standards, guiding during emergencies, driving root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions and program management of portfolio-wide initiatives.
The Value You Deliver
Lead the engineering design and commissioning process for MEP/FP capital projects. Ensure standards are met and appropriate signoff is documented prior to operational handover, working closely with Project Delivery teams.
Respond to and provide technical support to resolve abnormal operational incidents and determine root causes of failure. In close coordination with the site staff, ensure that the root cause is identified. Take steps to prevent repeated incidents.
Supervise and publish data on downtime-causing incidents or near-misses. Develop, communicate, and implement strategies to prevent recurrence of failures.
Ensure site engineering operations teams are performing as per standards and have controls in place to ensure high uptime. Review performance and perform audits to verify compliance.
Cultivate relationships with key vendors, consultants, and outsourced engineering service providers. Hold them accountable to their contractual obligations.
Develop and maintain engineering standards and operating guidelines. Lead ISO 14001 and engineering audit programs.
Provide guidance for operating budget and capital plan. Develop and maintain technology roadmaps for major building systems.
Develop case for asset preservation and energy upgrades. Present technical topics to a non-technical audience.

The Skills that are required for this role
- Lead MEP design and execution for large commercial office projects, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment to quality standards.
- Experience in electrical/mechanical engineering design or testing and commissioning, with strong knowledge of testing and commissioning processes.
- Proven experience leading MEP consultants, vendors, and contractors in large-scale construction projects.
- Skilled in developing engineering standards, guidelines, and procedures for critical facilities, including root cause analysis and contingency planning.
- Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement initiatives to boost energy efficiency and uptime.
- Expertise in optimizing engineering design, maintaining safety, reliability, and efficiency.
- Ability to present clear arguments for end-of-life replacements or energy efficiency upgrades.
- Experienced in mentoring and developing engineering teams for growth and expertise.
- Background in leading refurbishment or fit-out projects for commercial office spaces.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of proven experience in electrical/mechanical engineering design or testing and commissioning of building systems. Including the ability to outline testing and commissioning process in working environment.
- Experience leading MEP consultants, vendors and contractors in large construction projects.
- Experience developing standards, guidelines, root cause analysis and operating procedures to maintain high uptime in critical facilities. Including identifying single points of failure and contingency plans.
- Manage change tickets and closures. Prepare weekly reports indicating systems and equipment conditions, end of life, efficiency, uptime/downtime and capital planning.
- Experience managing engineering service delivery through outsourced FM Service Providers.
- Track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives to improve energy efficiency and uptime.
- Graduate in electrical or mechanical engineering. Post graduation in electrical or mechanical engineering preferred.
- Ability to travel across India Offices (BLR and Chennai)
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule across multiple time zones worldwide.
- Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability.
- Strong organizational skills and capacity to prioritize and work in a complex, fast paced environment.
